Hi. My name is Ashley. I am a 35-year-old graduate student pursuing a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. I am in my third (and final) year of graduate school with only one trimester left before graduating in April 2020. I am an untraditional student, at best, and have gone through a lot to get to where I am today, but at the end of the day, I am passionate about helping others.

On a more personal level, I have been married 10 years to my wonderful husband, Francisco. We have had our share of ups and downs, but at the end of the day, he is the love of my life, and I wouldn’t want to do life without him.

So why start a blog? I feel that I have a lot to share, more than can be shared on Instagram alone. I want to share my story, my experiences, and most importantly my failures. I want to inspire others on their health and wellness journey. I want to educate. I want to serve.

If I have learned anything, we all have a story to share. Our stories define who we are. They shape us. Our stories are our identity. It has taken me a long time to, let’s say, accept my story. It has not been easy being a 35-year old student when the majority of my class is 10 years+ younger than me, but this is my story. I am here for a reason. You are here for a reason. We all have a purpose. Recently, I have been feeling this nudge to pursue something bigger than what I ever imagined, and I am listening. I am listening to the universe as I believe I am being guided towards my true purpose.

So, I hope you join me on this journey. I hope to inspire. I hope to educate. I hope to help you find your best well-self because when you are well physically, mentally, and spiritually, you will start to live your life with purpose.
